CEEMET at the Tripartite Social Summit

On 25 March, CEEMET will present its 'EU2020 Strategy – An Agenda for European Manufacturing in a changing world” at the Tripartite Social Summit. The Tripartite Social Summit precedes the European Summit which is mainly dedicated to the EU2020 Strategy and economic recovery.

The Tripartite Social Summit will be chaired by the Spanish Prime Minister, Jose Luis Zapatero and the President of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso. CEEMET will be represented by Mr. Andrés Sánchez de Apellániz, Chairman of the CEEMET Steering Committee.

CEEMET also addressed the Tripartite Social Summit in 2005 when the mid-term review of the Lisbon Strategy was dealt with.

CEEMET reply to the second stage consultation on the Electromagnetic fields Directive

In preparation for a new legislative proposal concerning the Directive 2004/40/EC on minimum health and safety requirements regarding the exposure of workers to the risks arising from physical agents (electromagnetic fields), the European Commission has launched in May 2010 the second stage of the Social Partner consultation. CEEMETs reply to this consultation was sent to the European Commission on 5 July 2010.
